Thanks for stopping by to learn a little more about the story behind Especially Yours Designs! I'm Tamalee - the girl who has always loved creating with paper and eventually turned that love into a business.

I was born and raised in northern California with my parents, three sisters, and one brother. In 2007, I moved to Manitoba to teach school, where I met the man who would become my husband. We married in 2009, and after several homes along the way, we've now settled into the “home place” beside a river in beautiful southeastern Manitoba, surrounded by oak, ash, and poplar trees.

I'm definitely a girly girl at heart! I love florals, pink, pretty fonts, muted watercolor colours, and, of course, a healthy dose of cute. I also love the beauty and simplicity of nature, even if I'm much happier admiring it than getting out in it! You'll find all of those things woven into my designs, along with plenty of other little inspirations that catch my eye.

I've been designing and creating with paper since I was young, and over the years that hobby gradually grew into a business. Especially Yours Designs started small, with orders from friends, and then friends of friends. Things really began to grow when I took my business online and opened my Etsy shop in 2011. Since then, I've continued learning, creating, and refining my products along the way.

Designing is still my favorite way to relax and unwind. I love the entire process, but especially seeing an idea come together into a finished product. And hearing from a customer who loves what I've made for them? That never gets old!

I've also had some ongoing health challenges over the years, which haven't always made things easy. I'm especially grateful that I have my work to keep my hands and mind busy through the harder seasons. Creating has been a wonderful outlet for me and has brought a lot of joy into my life.

Today, my collection includes wedding and baby memory books, invitations, birth announcements, calendars, cards, journals, and more - all designed with the same love of pretty, meaningful details that started it all.
